How a project gets picked
All of our CWMA projects go through a selection process where scores are issued based on some very specific criteria. We look at things like conservation, wildlife impact, habitat preservation, and select weeds. Once a project narrative has been scored, we can start the process of applying for grant assistance. We combine resources with the various agencies and partners inside the project area and look for ways we can collaborate.

Things we have tackled together
We collaborate as a cooperative CWMA group on multiple projects annually. Here are just a sample of some of the things we have tackled together.
Bear Lake
The Bear Lake Eurasian watermilfoil project is an excellent example of adaptive management, quick learning, and cooperation between multiple agencies.
Weber County Starthistle
The Weber County yellow starthistle project began in 2019 when yellow starthistle had become problematic throughout Weber County on mountain sides and even within city limits.
Cache County Vipergrass
The Cache County EDRR project by the Cache County Weed Department has been an excellent example of detailed, continuous mapping of new EDRR species.
Northern Utah Medusahead
This project is located in northern Utah (Cache and Box Elder counties). We monitored an area near the Cherry Creek Ski Resort.
